What started as a series of emotional sketches, a desperate response to the invasion’s early days, has eventually transformed into a potent, concrete concept. Like the war it represents, this project has seen its share of highs and lows. It was rapidly advancing with the hits of the Ukrainian army and stumbling with the stalled southern offensive. Disappointment and exhaustion were frequent visitors as familiar faces disappeared and new heroes emerged.
Now, after relentless effort and countless revisions, the four-colors-deck project is complete—a vivid, raw portrayal of what’s happening on the ground, in the sky, in front, and behind. But while the project is finished, the war rages on. For many, this war will never truly end.
