For traditional chess with two players, the “white-black” constraint forces the search for new forms and game variations. The possibility of completely new strategic options opens the introduction of the third player. The “battle” does not take place between the two “armies”, but between the three at the same time. A special, “expanded” game board and a set of three contrasting color shapes have been created for this.
This set of chess for three players is designed for younger school-aged (but not limited to) players who are familiar with the world of chess and can play improvised games. Therefore, the color and shape of the figures are oriented towards simple, abstract form perception and recognition. This modification of chess will develop creativity, intellectual reaction, social skills, collective communication (played by more than two) and strategic thinking.
